So about that last post
So about that last post, Molly is being a little lazy with the pictures so I’m going to attempt to redeem us. It won’t be very interesting because it is 2:34 am and I’m not in the mood to channel my natural brilliance…or execute spot-on sarcasm. But here is some food for thought, to the three people subscribed (probably out of pity)to our blog.
I read somewhere on the interwebs about happiness today. How the 20 something year olds define a perfect life by 3 things: a bf/gf, friends, and a dream job. The trick is that you can’t have two without sacrificing the third, there is just not enough time to be divided three ways. So can it be done? Giving more time somewhere obviously means taking time from somewhere else, one can’t just create more time. It’s like that riddle about the fox and the duck and the vegetable…er the cat and the rat and the cheese. Anyway there’s a boat and you have to get all three from one side of the river to the other, without one of them eating the other/leaving certain pairings together. There is a way to do it, but it involves a lot of backing and forthing and in the end, really, if you have a boat why the fuck are you transporting animals and food from shore to shore? Am I right? Take your boat and do what means the most to you. Give up planning (to an extent).
It’s one of the hardest things I’ve learned so far in life is to give up planning. Because everyone and everything else is not planning around the certainty of your plans, so don’t expect things to go in a certain direction. In the end, all we really want, and all anyone ever really has, is time. Spend time, every minute thrown to you is like gold.
This is the most unoriginal thing I think I’ve ever written.
ho hum
so I totally forget about this blog and then I revisit it and I remember why I love my sister (who is responsible for 80% of the postings). Because we like the same things.
Current thoughts:
1) My bf likes his coffeemate creamer with a little bit of coffee.
2) My brain can’t take any more art history.
3) I’m addicted to the starbucks birthday cake pops and for the last 3 days I have consistently bought the last one
4) I’m not ready to become a real person. I feel like a bug.
